Eduardo Garcia, MD, FAAN, FAES is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy. He completed his fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, and residency training in Neurology at Boston Medical Center in Boston MA. Dr. Garcia is a Graduate of the Universidad de Monterrey School of Medicine in Monterrey, Mexico. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Garcia is Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society. He is in private practice at Newton-Wellesley Neurology Associates, and serves as Assistant Chief of the Division of Neurology at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA, where he is also Co-Director of the Neurophysiology Lab. He is actively involved in clinical research. His interests include, the treatment of status epilepticus, neuromodulation in the treatment of Epilepsy, and deep learning in Neurology.

Dr. Garcia is an advocate for the profession of Neurology and patients with Neurological disorders. He serves as member at large of the American Academy of Neurology Advocacy Committee. He is Fellow at the American Academy of Neurology's Palatucci Advocacy and Leadership forum. He has been a frequent participant at Neurology on the Hill under the auspices of the American Academy of Neurology, where he has met with lawmakers and educated them about the critical role Neurologists play in healthcare. Moreover, he has lobbied in Washington D.C for lowering out-of-pocket costs for Medicare Part D drugs, support funding from the NIH and Brain Foundations, among other initiatives. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Epilepsy Foundation New England, and is Past President of the Massachusetts Neurological Association's Executive Committee.
