Available Volunteer Positions
Donation Center Attendant Donations of clothing and household items provide important funding to EFNE. The ADS (Attended Donation Site) at our Wilmington office serves as a convenient location for supporters to drop off their donations. Donation Center Attendants are responsible for assisting donors with their drop-offs, ensuring donated items in the ADS are organized and keeping an accurate log of donations.
Support Services Help Desk Volunteer
Help Desk Volunteers will answer non-crisis calls from people living with epilepsy, their families, and caregivers, and provide them with supportive listening, information and guidance to appropriate resources.
Commitment: Help Desk Volunteers are assigned to one shift per week for a minimum of six months. Shifts are available Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 PM and are normally two or four hours long.
If you’re interested in volunteering but live outside the Wilmington, MA area, we’d love to have you join as a Regional Volunteer! Regional Volunteers assist our field staff in Western Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire with events and other programs and services.

Doctors and nurses with epilepsy experience.
People living with epilepsy wishing to share their inspirational story.

We are currently seeking Human Services, Psychology, Nursing, Medical, and Nutrition students to work with us on a number of projects!
Please note that our internships are unpaid.

The Purple Camp Health Professional Volunteers
We are in need of a number of health professional volunteers for our summer 2017 camps! Our camps are located in East Brookfield, MA and Ocean Park, ME. Health professional volunteers can be doctors, nurses, and medical and nursing students.

1) Fill Out Application
Our volunteer application is available online here. A paper application is also available. To request one, please email Jenna at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (617)506-6041.
After we receive your application, you’ll have a brief phone or in person interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
3) Reference Check
Following your interview, we’ll call the reference listed on your application to discuss your qualifications as a volunteer. (Certain positions may require more than one reference.) Be sure to list someone who knows you well!
4) Background Check
Certain volunteer positions, including all camp volunteers, all support services help desk volunteers, and all volunteers working 1:1 with clients, will require background checks. If you have questions on this process, please contact Jenna at email@example.com.
