Dr. Valliere is currently Director, Medical Science Liaison and Neurology lead for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals. In his role, Steve works in the areas of Epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease as well as any other areas in Neurology that Sunovion is working in.
Prior to joining Sunovion in 2015, he worked at Teva Pharmaceuticals in CNS areas for 3 years, and previous to that was Associate Director of CNS Medical Science Liaison at Shire Pharmaceuticals for over 12 years.
Steve has been in the healthcare arena for over 40 years. Before joining industry, he served as a Clinical Pharmacist, as well as a Pharmacy Director in Hospital Pharmacy. Just prior to joining industry, he served as a Critical care Research Associate at Lifespan / Miriam Hospital / Brown University. He is the author of numerous abstract publications.
Dr. Valliere received his Bachelor of Pharmacy as well as Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Massachusetts University of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He also has a Master’s of Science in Management from Lesley University.
Steve lives in Mattapoisett, MA with his wife of 40 years Maggie. They have two grown daughters and two grandsons. Steve is an avid reader, golfer, musician and history buff. He serves as a Docent at the New Bedford Whaling Museum as well as on the Board of Governors at the Reservation Golf Club.
