EFNE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Epilepsy can create a range of challenges for individuals and families that can result in short-term financial hardships. Epilepsy Foundation New England(EFNE) offers resources to help members of our epilepsy community in times of need. This program was developed to bring financial assistance to people living with epilepsy, with emphasis on helping people maintain their health, safety and quality of life.
Who is eligible for the program?
Anyone with a confirmed diagnosis of epilepsy and a demonstration of need.
How does the financial assistance program work?
EFNE financial assistance program grants a onetime award, with assistance ranging from $50.00 to $1000.00 to assist individuals with epilepsy during a time of need. If we are not able to fund specific needs through our own EFNE program resources, we can help to provide information and resources to identify alternative solutions.
What types of requests are covered through the program?
EFNE may be able to help with the following:
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Critical short term needs such as emergency help with utilities or rent
- Assistance with doctor visit copayments or medication costs
- Medical equipment costs (for example; bedrails, assistive devices, monitoring devices)
- Childcare, homecare, respite care
