More Than Four Decades Of Hope

For forty years, Epilepsy Foundation New England has provided resources, programs, and information to help those living with epilepsy in our New England communities reach their goals without letting seizures or epilepsy hold them back.

1981

Bill Murphy began laying the groundwork for Epilepsy Association of Greater Boston

1983

Epilepsy Association of Greater Boston, Inc. is incorporated

1992

Epilepsy Association of Greater Boston becomes Epilepsy Association of Massachusetts

1993

Epilepsy Association of Massachusetts, Inc. expands its territory to serve Rhode Island

1998

Camp “Wee-Kan-Tu” is founded, and serves 50 children in a weeklong camp

1999

Organization takes the new name Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island

2003

Les Brody becomes CEO

2009

Epilepsy Foundation New England Donation Center established, with Bill Braunlich leading the creation of the Donation Center in 2009 as President.

2010

Services begin in New Hampshire and Maine and the organization takes the new name Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine, Inc.

2012

Organization becomes Epilepsy Foundation New England, Inc.

2014

New overnight camp programs held in Maine

2016

Les Brody retires and Susan Linn is appointed as new President and CEO
